Bryan Stowe is a Board Certified Physician Assistant with more than 12 years of professional experience.  He spent the earlier part of his career as a medical provider serving in emergency departments in rural hospitals in the northern part of the state.  There he started to develop an interest in psychiatry, the field of medicine where he saw the most potential opportunity for the intervention of all suffering; within the mind, itself.

Following the loss of the community of Paradise in the Camp Fire of 2018, Bryan returned to his native San Luis Obispo County where he has since been working in the fields of psychiatry and addiction medicine.  He believes that the development of a compassionate and trusting therapeutic alliance between patient and provider is every bit as important to the road to recovery as is pharmacological intervention.  He specializes in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of mild to moderate psychiatric disorders including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and substance abuse.

When not working, Bryan enjoys going for hikes with his dog and spending time with family.  He loves geography, world cinema, and travel.  Also, just geeking out at almost any opportunity about history, philosophy, or the natural and life sciences.

He earned a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Idaho State University, Pocatello, Idaho. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Systematic Biology from California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly), San Luis Obispo, California
